A Lunar Year ~ Corn Moon

Merry Meet,

It has been a while since posting an entry so I wanted to get this one in early.  The Corn Moon is approaching and will be in full beauty this Sunday.  Now is the time to fix relationships and thank our ancestors.

Corn Moon
A Lunar Year
Full “Corn” Moon
The Corn Moon occurs in August and marks the harvest and reaping of grains; which symbolises the cycle of life, death and rebirth.  We humans have a thing or two in common with the grain, we are descendents of the first pair of human beings, their blood is our blood, and it sustains and energises us just like the kernels being product of the first ever grown grain. Both give us life!
Although ancestry plays a part in our individualities, we are too products of this ancient and fertile life force, which means we are related to each other, forming a link in the chain of eternal life.

Strong Sun Moon Invocation

“O Mother of All, O Queen of Connection
I ask to become a perfect reflection
Of Your warmth and Your beauty, Your nurturing love
As You course through my Spirit, keep me mindful of
Those who came before me – whose blood in my veins
Has moulded and shapes me – whose traits I retain
And form me to be who You now envision
A connection devised of Your perfect precision”

“Gracious Goddess, Who art Maiden, Mother Crone
Celebrated be Your Name
Help me to live in peace upon Your Earth
And grant me safety in Your arms
Guide me along my chosen path and show me Your great eternal love
As I strive to be kind to those who don’t understand Our ways
And lead me safety to Your Cauldron of Rebirth
For it is Your Spirit that lives within me and protects me
Forever and ever So mote it be”
