Feast of Wakahiru

Merry Meet,

I have decided to continue posting the Today in Magical History series, which has been renamed to Daily Magic so simplification.  This reference was found in Celebrating Wiccan Spirituality by Lady Sabrina:

Needlecraft is a big thing in Japan, so much so that all broken needles are taken to the Buddhist temples on this day to be honoured, along with other sewing objects.

In some areas the Goddess Wakahiru (Goddess of weaving) is also honoured today, as it is believed that she will make prosperous those she favours.
