A Lunar Year ~ Storm Moon

Merry Meet,

As the Storm Moon is approaching I feel the pull to revamp my B.o.S entry and bring it to life once more.  I've covered three pages on word.doc so I may stop there for now and expand the entry the next time round the wheel.  Check here for a basic format of a Full Moon ritual.

Storm Moon Invocation

As the Earth is in sprouting mode, Mother so dear
Let me, too, germinate – cast off my fear
Encourage fresh sprouting in my heart and my soul
So I quickly grow past what is useless and old
And tend the new sprouts of growth and perspective
With fresh inspiration and a creative directive
Full up my life with Seed Moon energy
For I wish to grow; as I will, it shall be

Seed Blessing

Items required:
    Seeds
    Container

Place separate seed-types in a bowl, hold the bowl up and say something like:

Stretch and wake up, little ones
Feel the warmth of Shining Sun
Stir and shake off Winter’s cold
Sprout and thrive – grow tall and bold

Celebration Activities

Serve fruit punch and round seeded bread with onion dip and garnish.  Cut out the centre from the bread, fill the hole with dip and sprinkle diced onion on top.
Hold a seed exchange event.  Invite people to bring packets of easy-to-grow herbs or flower seeds that have already been blessed and charged, for example with love, prosperity, protection or wisdom.  Place the packets in a basket and everyone gets to pick without peaking.
Throw a garden party where everyone brings along a garden-related item they no longer have a need for, for example flower pots, gardening gloves, a spade or hanging baskets.  Attendees get to trade them for another item or personal service.
Make nest-building containers for the birds.  Cut chicken wire into strips of 12in x 6in and tie the ends together with ribbons to form circular containers.  Tie 8 lengths of ribbon across one open end to serve as the bottom.  Fill with cotton, fibrefill, Easter grass, colour threads and anything else you think the birds will use.  Hang them outside by tying ribbons to the top.
Host a gardening party where attendees helping to prepare flower beds and the garden for planting.  Have some fun, some giggles and a sing-song.  Then invite everyone in for dinner as a thank you.
Make up small pouches of wildflower seeds and bless them for wish fulfilment.  Hand them out as gifts and instruct the recipient to make a wish and toss the seeds into the winds as a manifestation spell.
