I customised this ritual, with Acantha, back in 2012 - a business revamp in mind.

Business Revamp Ritual

  

Associations & Symbolism:

Day: Thursday

Being: Oya (Merchant Spirit)

Herbs: Basil

Stone: Malachite

Food: Honey (or 9 plums & red wine as an offering)

Colour: Purple

Moon Phase: New or Waxing (depending on your intuition)

   

Honey Hand Wash

Items Required:

¶  3 tsp Runny Honey

¶  3 Fresh Basil Leaves (threaded)

¶  Small Saucepan

¶  Bowl of Warm Water

  

Using the saucepan, warm up the honey on a low heat (be careful not to burn it as it is a sugar source, it may get very hot!).  As the honey warms chant something like:

Business waning, under stress

No more clients, making less

Honey sweet, tempts bears & ants

Honey lend me your luring dance

Add the threads of fresh basil and stir carefully whilst chanting some like:

Basil so green, send me your aid

Colleagues & clients soon to be made

Pour the warm mixture into your hands (careful that it’s not too hot!) and massage them together whilst chanting something like:

Hands be blessed with financial powers

Future success now to be ours

Using the bowl of warm water, rinse your hands of the honey mixture.  Keep the water, either use it straight away on the business premises or put it in an air tight jar or bottle.

Basil & Honey Scatter

Sprinkle the basil and honey water (from your hand wash) across the entrance and around the perimeter of the building whilst chanting something like:

Blessed powers of basil & honey

Luck-enriched water, bring me money

Lure people to come & knock

To purchase plenty of my stock

Offering to Oya

Items Required:

¶  Small Basil Plant

¶  Small Purple Plant Pot (purple is sacred to Oya)

¶  Malachite (tumblestone or chips)

If using malachite chips, decorate the outside of the purple plant pot with them.  Add the basil plant to the purple pot.  If using a tumblestone then put it on top of the soil.

Call upon Oya

Spirit of Oya, I call you near

Bring with You Your powers of air

Come join me now in my quest

Grant my wish of business success

Hold the plant (purple pot and all) up in front of you and chant something like:

Oya Offering Invokation

Bless this pot with all Your might

With basil insight, I will place onsite

Every one of my valued sales

Reminding me of Your honouring gales

  

Visualise Oya’s energies entering the basil plant and all of your new customers to come
