Herb Haul: Ostara Preparations

Merry Meet,

Since having the urge to do a window box for Ostara, I managed to do a search for local garden nurseries and one was really close by.  So, today we called a cab and off we went (was't far to walk but roundabout and motorway would've been a challenge).  £30 odd quid and an hour later we arrive back home with a lovely scent in the boot.  I plan to make a cooking/supplies herb window box up and managed to purchase a Narcissus for the Sabbat Centre on my meditation/divination altar.  The hubby is going to nip over to another store and grab some compost as the garden centre didn't have any smaller bags in stock.  Here are the pretties!!!

This is my current Sabbat Centre, I've called her Chrys lol she needs a bit of TLC has her colouring has darkened the last week or so.  I grabbed a bottle of plant feed earlier so will bag up a batch of spray tonight - fingers crossed I can work out the maths has the only mixing directions on the label is for a gallon and I won't need THAT much!  When Ostara comes about Chrys will be moved to the smaller kitchen window.  I've been harvesting her buds and leaves so she needs a lot of love.

This is Narci I bought her today but her roots are so wild in that tiny pot so I've bought her a new pot to transplant her, which will be done over the next couple of days as soon as the Hubs gets the compost.

This pair are Lavender and Sage (no need for a name change lol) and they are sat in the window box getting used to the surroundings before I transplant.  Lavender will be going in a slightly bigger pot than she's in right now (as she's getting BIG!) as she is going on the other window sill.  Sage will be transplanted to the window box.

These two are Chive and Thyme and they are still tiny and they will have plenty of room to grow once they are transplanted.
And finally this fragrant duo are Rose (rosemary) and Bay (kitchen bay).  Rose is going in the window box and Bay will also be transplanted to a bigger pot for the other window sill.
This is going to be really fun, I haven't gotten my hands dirty for at least 3 years, I remember the last time I was growing everything. Tomatoes, herbs, carrots, potatoes etc...but the wispy winds and hurling gales blew my growhouses over our fence! (~sobs!!~)

I'm planning to video my herby transplant so watch this space for the upload share.

Blessed Be
