Overview

Spirit, on the inside, is our power centre, our soul and our higher self.  Spirit, on the outside, is the Divine essence all around us, that of the God and Goddess and can be seen in all things.
Spirit is represented by the centre of the Circle, the centre of the Circle is of all time and space.  Upon the altar, Spirit is represented by the statues, gold and silver candles, black and white candles, or not at all; as Spirit is everywhere at all times.
Spirit, in Tarot, is represented by The World, the last of the Major Arcana.  In the Chakra system, Spirit is associated with the Crown Chakra (7th).
Spirit is represented in symbols such as Solomon’s seal (Star of David) and the Pentagram.

Visualisation Exercise One

For five minutes, allow your mind to drift but pay close attention to your thoughts.  Retain the exact thoughts in order as best you can and make notes.  Repeat daily for a minimum of two weeks.

Visualisation Exercise Two

For three minutes, think of just one thought without letting your mind drift.  Repeat daily for a minimum of two weeks.

Visualisation Exercise Three

For three minutes, clear your mind and keep it completely blank.  Repeat daily, increase the time until you can manage to keep your mind blank for ten minutes.

Other
Spirit is also known as Ether (Latin: Aether “to kindle”) and Akasha (Sanskrit).  Spirit is the first Element, the Element that all other Elements are born from, their core and from where they get their power.  Ether is all around us and within us; it is basic building blocks from all things within and of the Universe.  Without Ether, the Spiritual and mundane planes would cease to exist, or at least in the way that we know them.  In the Middle Ages it was believed that Ether contained the secrets to everlasting life.
