Merry Meet,

This is the second post in the magical herbs topic.  An overview of sage with a few applications for medicinal and magical usage:

History, Myth & Culture
Native Americans have long used Sage in ceremonial magic and rituals due to its strong, heady scent.

Since earlier than the 16th century Sage has been used in memory retrieval and to strengthen the conscious mind.

European Folk magic calls for Sage to bring financial gain.

Ingesting Sage daily during the month of May is said to give immortality:
He who would live for aye
Must eat Sage in May

It is said that wearing a small horn filled with Sage will guard you from the Evil Eye.

Superstition: Apparently, planting Sage in your own garden is bag luck, a stranger should do it for you. A whole plant bed of Sage alone will bring bad luck.
